Application Fee

In South Africa, all Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutes usually do not charge application fees. To apply, simply visit your selected Tvet College’s website during the application period, fill out the online form, take the placement exam, attach the relevant documents, and, most importantly, satisfy or exceed the course’s admission requirements. In South Africa, Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) colleges admit students of all ages.

  • Certified copy of ID
  • Certified copy of academic results
  • Proof of residence
  • Certified copy of Next-of-Kin ID
  • Guardian’s ID
  • A valid Email Address
  • A valid cell phone number
  • Guardian/Parents full name and Surname

Minimum Academic Qualifications

National Senior Certificate (NSC):

  • Generally, a pass in the National Senior Certificate (NSC) is required, which is obtained after completing Grade 12.
  • Students with a score of at least 30% in the language of instruction and 40% in four other subjects may qualify.

Grade 9 or 10:

  • Some TVET colleges accept students who have completed Grade 9 or 10, particularly for courses that do not require advanced qualifications.

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL):

  • For mature students or those who may not have formal qualifications, RPL may be considered. This process assesses the skills and knowledge gained through work experience or other means.
