If you were unsuccessful in the 2025 University of Fort Hare intake, you must submit a new application for the 2026 intake, regardless of your previous application status.

Submitting a Manual Application to the University of Fort Hare 2026 Admissions

The University of Fort Hare is offering manual applications for the 2026 academic year. If you prefer not to apply online, you can submit your application packet electronically via email.

Here’s how to submit a manual application:

1. Gather required documents:

   • Proof of application fee payment
   • Proof of residence fee payment (if applicable)
   • Copy of your ID
   • Academic results (e.g., transcripts, certificates)

2. Email your application to: applications2025@ufh.ac.za

3. Important note:

   • Include all required documents in your email. Applications without complete documentation will not be processed.
   • Retain your original proof of payment slips for both application and residence fees (if applicable). These will be required during registration.

Apply for up to 3 Qualifications at the University of Fort Hare

You can apply for up to three qualifications online for 2026 admissions. The University of Fort Hare will process the first three choices you submit.

• Valid passport (international students)
• Medical report

Postgraduate:

University of Fort Hare has opened the 2026 application window as of June 1, 2025, to apply:

• Go to ufh.ac.za to access UFH 2026 application form
• Indicate applicant status: “NO” in the “Returning Student” section.
• Enter personal details.
• Accept the POPI Acts.
• Register your account
• Receive student number and temporary PIN via email.
• Log in using your student number and PIN.
• Select at least 3 study courses to apply
• Complete the application form for 2026
• Proceed to enter your academic history.
• scan and upload individual documents in TIFF, PDF, JPG, or GIF format.
• Save each page of the application to avoid data loss.
• Review the application details before submission
• Edit and correct any error
