DUT Application Opening Date For 2026

The Durban University of Technology (DUT) has confirmed that Tuesday, 1 April 2025 will be the official opening date for 2026 applications. This opening date applies to all prospective students, regardless of country or language.

Although the application opening date is the same for all courses, the closing dates vary depending on the level of qualifications. Applications received after the deadline will not be considered.

Choose the course you want to study.
Visit the official website at www.dut.ac.za and select the “Apply” option.
New applicants must submit their application through the CAO online platform at www.cao.ac.za.
After reviewing the information, click “Continue with Application.”
Ensure your application and payment are submitted before the closing date.
Have a mobile phone and active email address ready to complete the online application.
Fill in all the required fields.
Upload certified copies of all necessary documents including:
- Certified copies of your identity document
- Final Grade 11 & Grade 12 certificate
- An original academic record and a certificate of good conduct
- A valid study permit
- A valid medical aid/health insurance cover
- A valid passport
- Proof of application fee
Your application will be processed once payment is received.
Click on “Submit Application” to finalize.
You will be informed of the application outcome via email or SMS.
