What is NSFAS Funding for 2024?

NSFAS Qualification Criteria For 2024

  • The person with a disability challenge with an income not greater than R600,000 annually

 

What are the Required NSFAS Application Documents

When applying for NSFAS, you’ll need to provide various documents to support your application. These documents may include:

  • Certified copy of your South African ID or birth certificate.
  • A letter from SASSA (SASAA beneficiary)
  • Parent’s or guardian’s ID or death certificate (if applicable).
  • Proof of income for your parent(s) or guardian(s) or yourself if you are employed.
  • Completed and signed consent form (if you are under 18 years old).
  • Matric certificate or latest academic results, depending on the year of study.

How to Apply Online For 2024 NSFAS

Applying for NSFAS in 2024 involves an online application process. Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you through it:

  • Visit the official NSFAS website: www.nsfas.org.za
  • Create your myNSFAS account by providing your email address and a secure password.
  • Select and Click on the APPLY NOW tab
  • Fill out the required personal and academic information in the application form. Make sure to double-check all the details for accuracy.
  • You can edit your personal details if the need be
  • Scan and upload all the required documents mentioned earlier. Ensure they are clear and legible.
  • Once you have completed all the required information and uploaded the documents, submit your application on the NSFAS website.

 

Follow-Up and track NSFAS Application Status

After submitting your application, NSFAS will assess your eligibility and review your supporting documents. This process may take some time, so be patient. During this period, it is advisable to regularly check your NSFAS account and email for updates on your application status. Follow the steps below to track your application

  • log in to your online NSFAS account portal via www.mynsfas.org.za.
  • Key in the ID number or username and password.
  • Select and Click on the ‘sign in’ tab.
  • Then click on “Track Funding status”
  • You can see your current NSFAS application status
