Before we begin the application process, it is important to note that the online application form for the University of Venda (UNIVEN) will be open to all students on April 01, 2023, and close on September 30, 2023.

 

It is very simple to apply to the University of Venda (UNIVEN) because the university accepts both online and paper applications. To apply successfully, prospective applicants and students must select the more convenient form and follow a series of instructions. Late applications are rarely guaranteed, so applying early may alleviate stress and give you more time to plan your applications. You can start and finish your applications in a matter of hours.

 

Closing date for online applications to the University of Venda (UNIVEN) For 2024

The University of Venda UNIVEN’s online application will be open on April 01, 2023. That is, on April 1, 2023, you can begin the online application process. Within a few hours of starting the online application, you should be able to complete and submit it. Although the online application for the University of Venda (UNIVEN) closes on September 30, 2023, we do not recommend waiting that long to submit the forms.   • Soft copies of all supporting documentation (tiff, pdf, jpg or gif)
  • Make sure the scanned file is no larger than 512KB.
  • Certified and individually scanned documents if completed Grade 12.
  • A copy of the I.D./Passport document
  • Matric certificate/Statement of Results/Grade 11/12 report
  • Transcript of academic record and certificate of conduct
  • Degree(s)/Diploma certificates
  • SAQA Evaluation Certificate (If you are an international applicant)
  • Additional documents for international prospective students:
    • A copy of relevant results
    • A copy of your passport

 

Univen Courses and Admission Requirements for the 2024/2025 academic year

Choose the course you want to apply for and study the entry requirements of that particular course. The University of Venda allows you to select TWO study programmes as part of your application. We encourage you to download the univen prospectus and read about the requirements before applying for those courses. Meeting the minimum requirement does not guarantee admission because other factors must be considered, but it does increase your chances.

Applicants can download applications from the Internet, complete them, and personally deliver them to the University of Venda’s New Student Administration Building, Cubicles 1 or 2 or 3.
Hard copies of application forms mailed to Univen will be accepted.

How to Apply Online at the University of Venda for 2024-2025

Now that you’ve determined your academic and non-academic requirements, proceed to the steps below to apply online for your program at the University of Venda.

  • All applicants should apply online at www.univen.ac.za.
  • To apply online, you must have a South African identification number, a passport number for internationals, a ten-digit cell phone number, and an email address.
  • The applicant must generate a 5-digit pin code.
  • Finish your application by clicking the “Submit” button.
  • You will then be assigned a student number (NB: keep your student number safe for future inquiries with the University).
  • Fill out your application and upload the necessary documents.
  • After successfully submitting and completing your online application, you can access/view your application details by logging into the My access page.

 

N.B:

  • Remember to pay the application fee of R100 before you submit your forms
  • Proof of payment (R100 application fee) payable on ABSA account no 1000 000 589 and use your ID number or student number as your reference

 

Univen Entry Requirement for undergraduate applicants

4-Year Degree: The minimum admission requirement is a National Senior Certificate (NSC) as certified by the Council for General and Further Education and Training (Umalusi) with an achievement rating of 4 (adequate achievement, 50-59%) or better in four subjects chosen from the recognised 20-credit NSC subjects. In addition, applicants must have a minimum point score of 26. A grade 12 certificate with a bachelor or matric exemption is required if grade 12 has been achieved.

3-Year Diploma: The minimum admission requirement is a National Senior Certificate (NSC) as certified by Umalusi with an achievement rating of 3 (moderate achievement, 40-49%) or better in four recognised NSC 20-credit subjects.

2-year Certificate: The minimum admission requirement is a National Senior Certificate (NSC) as certified by Umalusi.

To be considered for admission to specific programmes, applicants are required to have the appropriate combinations of recognised National Senior Certificate subjects as well as certain levels of achievement in these subjects.
