How To Register At King Hintsa TVET College 2023-2024

Academic registration at King Hintsa TVET College for the 2023-2024 academic year is now open to all new and returning learners who have recently graduated from their respective high schools. All prospective students who want to study a vocational and technical course at a King Hintsa TVET College campus are encouraged to register online or download and fill out a hard copy.

You should apply as soon as possible if you want to increase your chances of getting your preferred course. Registration for King Hintsa TVET College is open from July 1st to November 30th, 2023. Students will be able to apply for courses at King Hintsa TVET College via online registration for the academic year 2023-2024 or via a hard copy version of the application.

King Hintsa TVET College Minimum Entry Requirements

  • The passing grade for all NC(V) Courses is between Grades 9 and 12.
  • The passing grade for all REPORT 191/NATED (N1-N3) courses is between Grades 10 and 12.
  • The entry requirement for all REPORT 191/NATED (N4-N6) is Grade 12, Level 4 or N3.

King Hintsa TVET College Required Documents For Registrations

The following documents must be certified at SAPS

  • A copy of the student’s certified ID.
  • Copy of guardian/certified parent’s ID
  • A certified school progress report with the highest grade obtained.

King Hintsa TVET College Registration Dates for 2023-2024

The application process for King Hintsa TVET College has begun. Prospective students of King Hintsa TVET College can apply, as the college’s application period starts on July 1 and ends on September 30, 2023. The registration deadline for this year will not be extended for late applicants, so apply as soon as possible. Following placement in the appropriate career choices via the mandatory PACE test. After deciding on their courses, students can proceed to register.

How to Register Online at King Hintsa TVET College

Prospective applicants register by visiting any of the campuses or following the steps below to get registered

Process One:

The documents will be verified

  1. Certified copy of id/birth certificate or passport.
  2. Certified copy of senior certificate or equivalent. If still in grade 12, marks obtained in grade 11 and a most recent grade 12 mark you attend any college, an original academic record and a certificate or certified copies of other certificates obtained previously.
  3. NCV: evidence of grade 9 as the highest grade passed a certified copy of id/birth certificate and certified copies of parent’s id or Guardian, where applicable.
  4. International students: certified copies of passport, study permit and evaluation certificate from SAQA (were necessary).
  5. Fees per the institution’s policy in collaboration with DHET.

  5. Information on the selection and placement assessment and dates
  6. Instructions to fill in biographical data

Process Three

Assistance

  1. Staff members must man an enquiry desk with full knowledge of campus offerings, minimum course requirements, etc.
  2. At enquires, desk students will be advised on how to obtain outstanding documents.
  3. The enquiry desk must keep records of those they helped and how they have been helped.

  1. Information about accommodation on different campuses
  2. Hostel rules and regulations

Process Five

Handing Application Forms

  1. The students may now fill in their final choices.
  2. They will then approach the SSS with the completed documents.
  3. Once the SSS has approved the forms being filled in correctly, the student may go on to the registration process.

Process Six

Administration of Psychometric Test

  1. One SSS officer explains the placement tool and its purpose, and also explains the whole process from writing the placement quiz up to the final stage when they have been given their student packs.
  2. Students should be ushered into the venue according to the computers/seats available.
  3. Once the placement test for the success tool has been completed the results are to be filled in on a data form.

Process Seven

Bursary and Means Test

  1. All bursary processes are explained to students by the bursary officer.
  2. The bursary will be allocated to deserving students through means of tests.
