Learn the new method of unlocking your NSFAS Account in 2024

Students whose accounts have been automatically locked are invited to visit this page, where they can find solutions to unlock their locked Nsfas account. It is almost customary to be locked out of your Nsfas account if you entered the wrong password more than three times and the system detects fraudulent activity, resulting in account locking. This feature safeguards all Nsfas students against account hacking and cybercrime.

Current Nsfas beneficiaries whose accounts have been blocked or locked will be unable to access their portal to perform any activity. You are advised to unlock your account as soon as possible by following the steps in this post. Prospective beneficiaries can also learn the procedure so that they are not caught off guard if you accidentally lock their account by entering their password more than three times.

To update your cellphone number or email address, log on to your myNSFAS account using your Username (email address) and password. Once you have logged in click Personal Details on the top of your screen. You will then be able to update your cellphone number and email address.

How to reset your Nsfas profile

If you already have a myNSFAS account but have forgotten your old username, password, or cellphone number, then follow the steps below to reset your profile.

  • Go to: www.nsfas.org.za, click on ‘myNSFAS’ and then click on ‘forgot password’.
  • Type in your ID number and choose what you require help with: password or username or both and then click on submit
  • The username and the link to change your password will be sent via SMS and email.
  • Open the link and you’ll be redirected to the reset password page.
  • Reset your password by following the prompts on your screen

How to unlock Nsfas Account Wallet in 2024

Learn how to unlock your Nsfas Wallet by following the steps below:

  • Step 1:
  • Dial *120*176#;
  • Step 2:
  • Select the “Unlock with OTP” radio button;
  • Step 3:
  • Wait for a One-Time Pin (OTP) sent to you through SMS;
  • Step 4:
  • Enter the supplied OTP; Click the “enter” button.
