Sol Plaatje University (SPU) is excited to welcome applications for the upcoming 2026 academic year. Prospective students can now access the application form and submit all required materials online. Be sure to complete your application within the official application period to secure your place.

SPU Application Date for 2026

Sol Plaatje University is now accepting applications for the 2026 academic intake. All undergraduate and postgraduate applications for local students must be submitted by October 31, 2025, while international applicants have until September 30 2025 to complete their submissions.

Additionally, the deadline for residence applications is October 31. Ensure you meet the deadlines to secure your place at SPU.

Application Requirements For 2026

Yu will need the following documents to apply to Sol Plaatje University SPU

Currently in Grade 12

A certified copy of your ID
Final Grade 11 results

Completed your Grade 12/matric

An affidavit declaring that you have studied at another higher education institution (university or college). If you never enrolled at a university or college since completing high school, this must be declared in the affidavit.
A certified copy of your ID
Your final Grade 12 results

Transfer applicants:

An official academic transcript and a certificate of conduct from your previous college/university
A certified copy of your ID
Final Grade 12 results

Create a pin for your academic application.
After saving your biographical info, a reference number (student number) will be generated for login.
Read and accept the application rules by clicking [I Accept].
Select your school from the menu and enter your school years and subjects.
Save after each step.
Upload your most recent certificates, starting with your ID.
If applicable, disclose your disability status and save.
Search and select your desired qualification, then submit your application.
If applying for more than one, repeat the process for each choice.
