TUT Late Application Link for 2025 Now Open

Do you wish to know if TUT (Tshwane University of Technology) is still accepting applications after the 30th September deadline? We are writing this article to announce that TUT has opened the 2025 late applications and that you qualify to apply for 2025 as a late candidate. TUT will consider your application form based on the available courses. Because TUT only admits a limited number of students per course each year, it was critical to submit your application on time to get the early bird courses. Even though late applications are not guaranteed, you should still submit your application for the available courses.

TUT Late Application Date For 2025

Tshwane University of Technology is now accepting late applications for the 2025 academic intake. This is to provide another opportunity for students and young people who were unable to apply during the March 1–September 30, 2024 application window to submit their online applications beginning Monday, January 20, 2025, at 10 a.m.

  • BPPT20: BEng Tech (Materials Engineering) with a focus on Polymer Technology
  • BPGM20: Bachelor in Geomatics
  • DPGM23: Diploma in Geomatics
  • BPML20: BEng Tech (Metallurgical Engineering)

eMalahleni Campus: Faculty of Engineering and Built Environment

  • BPEE19: BEng Tech (Electrical Engineering)
  • DPEE20: Diploma in Electrical Engineering
  • HCEE18: Higher Certificate in Electrical Engineering

Pretoria Campus: Faculty of Management Science

  • DPCR19: Diploma in Credit Management
  • DPWY24: Diploma in Work Study

Polokwane Campus: Faculty of Management Sciences

  • DPAF19: Diploma in Administrative Management (Finance)

Academic Entry Requirements – Average Point Scores (APS)

The APS is calculated based on your best six subjects from the National Senior Certificate (NSC) including the required subjects for the specific program you are applying for.

The following APS (Admission Point Score) requirements apply to all TUT faculty applications. To increase your chances of acceptance, exceed or meet the following requirements.

Faculty of Engineering and the Built Environment

  • BEng Tech (Various Specializations): APS of 24 or above.
  • Diploma (Various Specializations): APS of 20 or above.

Faculty of Management Sciences

  • Bachelor’s Degrees (e.g., BCom): Minimum APS of 24-30.
  • Diplomas: Minimum APS of around 20-24.

Faculty of Humanities

  • Bachelor’s Degrees: Minimum APS of around 24-30.
  • Diplomas: APS of 20 or above

Faculty of Information and Communication Technology

  • BSc in Computer Science/IT: APS between 24-30.
  • Diplomas: APS of 20 or above.

Fee For TUT 2025 Late Applications

There is no additional fee for late applications to Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) for the 2025 academic year. The application fee remains R240, whether you apply on time or late. I suppose that sounds good. Take advantage of this and gain admission to TUT. Do not wait for the next application season (2026); you can still apply to join TUT for the 2025 academic year.

How to Apply For TUT Late Applications

Late applications for 2025 must be submitted online through the approved TUT site, www.tut.ac.za.

Late applications sent offline/manually will not be considered. Please keep in mind that TUT does not accept walk-in applications during the late application period, so 2025 will be no exception.

Kindly follow the steps below to apply for late admission at Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) for the 2025 academic year.

  • Get started by visiting www.tut.ac.za
  • Select the TUT 2025 late application page.
  • Click on “Apply Now” under late applications.
  • Start by choosing “No existing student number.”
  • Enter your ID number
  • Accept the POPI Acts by checking the box.
  • Enter your details.
  • Browse through the list of programs available and select the one you are interested in applying for. Make sure you meet the entry requirements
  • Complete all required fields.
  • Upload the required documents as part of your application.
  • Proceed to pay the stated application fee. It is non-refundable
  • Review all the information you’ve entered to ensure accuracy.
  • Once satisfied, submit your online application if not edit it.
  • You should receive a confirmation email acknowledging receipt of your application through email or SMS.

  • Head over to the Admissions Section
  • Key in your login details
  • Once logged in, click on “Student” homepage
