Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) is accepting applications for the 2026 academic year from March 1 to September 30, 2025. Applicants should select programs that match their qualifications and review course requirements before applying. Early registration is encouraged to avoid last-minute issues.

This is a friendly reminder to all prospective students that applications for the 2026 academic year at TUT are now open! You can apply online or download the application form for manual completion.

How to Apply to Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) Online! The application process for Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) is entirely online. You can conveniently access the application portal using a smartphone or computer with a web browser. While most browsers are compatible, Google Chrome is recommended for optimal performance.

Applications open for submission on March 1, 2025. The portal is also mobile-friendly, allowing you to submit your application from your smartphone at your convenience.

How to Access the TUT Application Portal

  • To apply to the Tshwane University of Technology (TUT), access the application portal on their official website (https://www.tut.ac.za).
  • Locate the “APPLY NOW” tab on the website.
  • South African Students: Apply directly online.
  • International Students: Download the PDF application form and complete it by hand using a black pen.
  • Ensure all required fields (marked with a red asterisk) are filled out accurately.

How to complete TUT Application Form for 2026

To complete the application form for the Tshwane University of Technology (TUT), follow the guidelines below

Step 1: APPLICATION LOGIN

  • Visit the Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) application website atwww.tut.ac.za

Step 2: LOGIN DETAILS

  • Please provide your South African ID number OR Passport number to log in.

Step 3: COMPLETE THE FORMS

  • Fill in the required information on the online application form. An asterisk (*) denotes the REQUIRED/COMPULSORY Field.
  • Any of these will invalidate your application.

Step 4: UPLOAD REQUIRED DOCUMENTS

  • Upload all supporting documentation: Continue to upload the required files.
  • These documents must be scanned and uploaded individually.
  • The scanned files should not exceed 5MB or 572KB in size. Tiff, pdf, jpg, or gif file formats are required.

Step 5: APPLICATION FEE IS REQUIRED

  • Pay the application fee

Step 6: SUBMIT THE FORMS

  • Submit the fully completed online application form
  • Once your application has been processed, you will be given a school number to use as identification while attending TUT.

TUT Required Documents For Online Applications

The following documents must be ready at the time of application and submission:

International Applicants

  • Passport, and identification pages
  • Transcript, or latest academic result
  • Proof of registration at home university
  • Proof of medical insurance
  • Letter of recommendation

Domestic Applicants

  • Recently certified (certification may not be not older than 6 months)
  • Copies of your original identity document
  • National Senior Certificate and highest academic results
  • The proof of application fee.

NOTE: Your local police station must certify all of the above.
