The Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) has announced the registration dates for the 2026 academic year. Both new and returning students are invited to enroll in their modules for the first semester of 2026.

If you have accepted your TUT admission offer, gather your required documents and prepare to register your modules. This guide provides all the essential information to ensure a smooth and hassle-free registration process.

Opening & Closing Dates For TUT Registration 2026

The Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) has officially opened its online registration for first-year, new entrants, and returning students for the 2026 academic year starting from January 10, 2026

TUT Registration Fee 2026

The Tshwane University of Technology TUT registration fee for the 2026 academic year is R1,500. It’s crucial to remember that registration fees are the first installment of the entire tuition due at the time of registration. When registering, new students who have previously paid the R500 confirmation fee must only pay R 1000.

Please use credit card payments, electronic bank transfers, and direct bank deposits.  Additionally, bank-guaranteed checks are still acknowledged.

Eligibility Criteria to Register

To be eligible to register for the 2026 semester at TUT, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Identification Documents
  • Proof of Residence
  • Previous Academic Records
  • A receipt or proof of payment for the registration fee.
  • Recent passport-sized photos for your student ID card.

Tshwane University of Technology Registration Steps

The registration process at TUT is typically conducted online through the university’s student portal. Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you through the process:

  • Go to the student portal (www.tut.ac.za) to check your admission status.
  • Enter your student number and PIN
  • Accept the admission offer on the student portal
  • Click on Registration
  • Check your courses, Tuition fees, and registration fees (TUT Registration fee is R1,500.00)
  • Complete your Registration fee and Tuition fee
  • Update your personal details if necessary
  • Complete the registration form
  • Select Courses ——> Click on Submit. You will receive a confirmation notice immediately
  • Upload Registration documents before the closing date
  • Click on Logout to close the application.
  • After successful registration, you can collect your student ID card from the designated location.
