UCT 2026 Application Form Now Available / UCT online application 2026 opening date

The University of Cape Town (UCT) has released its hard copy application form for prospective students interested in pursuing an undergraduate or postgraduate courses at the university. The application form became available for download on the official UCT website on Tuesday, April 1, 2025. Applicants are encouraged to apply as early as possible, as late submissions will not be considered for admission in 2026.

Prospective applicants are encouraged to download the University of Cape Town prospectus and read up on the application requirements for their preferred courses before deciding. Attach all required documents to the fully completed application and submit it to any University of Cape Town campus near you.

University of Cape Town Application Form 2026

Applicants to the University of Cape Town must meet the following requirements:

Apply to study at the University of Cape Town for the 2026 academic intake – Open from April 1st to July 31st, 2025.
All required documents must be certified
All academic requirements of the courses chosen must be met.
Have a valid and operational email address and phone number
Ensure that all required fields are filled out.

UCT Application Processing Fee for 2026

Prospective students applying to the University of Cape Town must pay a non-refundable application fee of R300.00 for international students and R100 for domestic students. If applying manually, you are required to include the receipt for the application fee payment along with the other necessary documents for admission. Please review the application fee information provided on this page to ensure you follow the correct process.

Prospective students who apply by hand must attach the following documents to their fully completed application form and mail or deliver them in person.

A copy of your examination results from Grade 11 until September of grade 12 must be submitted.
Passport or ID
Proof of payment for the application fee
Transferring students should submit all transcripts and academic records
