Follow the steps below to use the University of Fort Hare (UFH) application portal for the academic year 2025

Access the UFH Application Portal at https://www.ufh.ac.za/apply/.
Choose your application method: Online Application or Downloadable Application Form.
Follow the application portal instructions, including creating an account, filling out application details, and uploading documents.
If using a physical form, contact the UFH admissions office for further instructions.
Complete the application process by completing the downloaded form with all required documents before submitting it to the admissions office.
Pay the applicable non-refundable application fee

A certified copy of your Grade 12 examination results
Certified ID
Provide your Grade 11 if you are yet to complete
You can produce your birth certificate in place of your ID
Certified copy of your marriage certificate
Proof of payment of the compulsory and non-refundable application fee

Overseas/foreign applicants

A valid Passport
Medical Report
Proof of proficiency CERTIFICATE
Study Visa
Certified copy of your marriage certificate
Proof of payment of the compulsory and non-refundable application fee

How to Apply Online at University of Fort Hare

To apply to study at UFH, simply follow the step-by-step guidelines below:

Step 1. University of Fort Hare Online Application Portal:

Visit website: https://www.ufh.ac.za/
Scroll to bottom: “Online Services”

Step 2. Log in to Student iEnabler:

Enter your Student Number and PIN (created previously).
If you forgot your PIN, click on “Forgot Pin” to generate a new one.

Step 3. Start the Returning Student Application:

In Student iEnabler, click on “Returning Student Application.”
Accept the POPI Act by clicking on it.
Click on “Returning Student Application” again.

Step 4. Update Your School Leaving Subjects:

Scroll down to “School Leaving subjects.”
Click “Show” next to “View/Update subjects.”
Update current subjects.
Confirm update by clicking “YES.”
Save changes.

Step 5. Upload Required Documents:

Click “Returning Student Application.”
Scroll down to “Biographical Information.”
Click “Show” next to “Upload Documents.”
