UMP Admission Requirements For 2026 Intake

The minimum entry requirement for the University of Mpumalanga degree, diploma, and higher certificate programs is a National Senior Certificate (NSC) with the following criteria:

A minimum of 30% in the language of learning and teaching at the higher education institution, certified by Umalusi.
An achievement rating of 4 (Adequate Achievement, 50-59%) or higher in four subjects chosen from the recognized 20-credit NSC subjects

Fill in your personal information and click “next” to proceed.

Review your application details and click “continue.”
Create a 5-digit PIN, check the “I accept” box twice, and click “Submit Application.”
Upload your documents.
