The University of the Witwatersrand’s Online Application Form for 2025-2026 is Now Open! The University of the Witwatersrand (Wits) has opened its online application form for the 2025-2026 academic year. All new and returning students are now eligible to apply for a course.

Prospective students interested in studying at Wits during the 2025-2026 academic year can now submit their applications. The application form is open to all applicants, regardless of their country of origin or language.

Prospective Wits students: note the online application dates!

Applications for the 2025-2026 academic year open March 1, 2024 and close on September 30, 2024 (June 30 for specific programs). This is your only chance to apply online for undergraduate and postgraduate programs. Submit all supporting documents by the deadline to avoid application rejection.

Wits Application Fee Payment Dates (2025-2026)

Application fee: R100 (SA citizens), R700 (foreign citizens)
Pay through self-service portal: Campus Finances > Make a Payment > Application Fee
Note: All payments must be made within the application deadlines.
