The online application form for the 2025-2026 admissions cycle at the University of Pretoria (UP) was opened on April 2, 2024. The deadline to submit the application is June 30, 2024. All prospective applicants are directed to the university’s home page to complete the application electronically.

The University of Pretoria (UP) will consider late applications for the 2025-2026 academic year, provided space is available in the program after the closing date. However, meeting the minimum requirements alone does not guarantee acceptance. Due to the high competition for places at UP, late applications are typically accepted in February. The University of Pretoria Application Fee For 2025-2026

Prospective applicants for the academic year 2025-2026 must pay an R 300 non-refundable application fee, which is only applicable to South Africans. Before UP can process your applications, foreign nationals must also pay a USD 30 application fee.

One (1) Certified Copy of each of the following documents must be attached or uploaded:

Year-end Grade 11 marks, or
If you have already completed Grade 12, your final Grade 12 results.
You will later need to scan the school’s results so that it is available to be uploaded.
A certified academic record and a certificate of conduct will need to be scanned and uploaded.

How to Apply online to the University of Pretoria (UP) For 2025

To apply for your undergraduate or postgraduate course, please follow the steps below:

Log in to the application portal

Select “Start New Application” from the drop-down menu and type in www./upnet.up.ac.za/psc/upapply/.
Click OK on the privacy notice pop-up.

Verify the special characters

Fill in the blanks with your data (Personal information)
Verify that the characters in the security code field are correctly entered.
Navigate to the Go tab.

Confirmation of Application

Before proceeding, please carefully read the disclaimer (Do not discard this page)
Fill out the drop box with your information.
Choose the OK button.
Confirm your application and click continue to proceed on the next page.
You will receive an ID and a temporary password via email. A working email address is required during the application process.

Commence with your academic application

You can begin your application with this ID number and password by clicking on the link in your email.
If you want, you can create your password.
Click the “save and next” button to continue.
The application summary page can now be edited. This is where the application begins.
Begin and refine your online application.

Upload documents, Pay the needed fee and Submit

Upload the required documents in the correct format.
Make a non-refundable deposit into the university’s official account.
If you think you’re done, click the submit button.
