The Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) has a strict application window for the 2027 academic year. To ensure your application is considered, you must apply within the following dates:

- Closing Date: 30 September 2026
Important Notice on Deadlines

No Late Applications: The online system will automatically close at midnight on September 30. Unlike some other institutions, TUT generally does not accept late applications once the system is locked.

Minimum Entry Requirements
No student may be admitted to a TUT programme without first completing the online application process and meeting the entry requirements for the 2027 academic year.
To be considered for a Higher Certificate, Diploma, or Bachelor’s Degree, applicants must have obtained a National Senior Certificate (NSC) or Grade 12 results.
Admission is also based on your Admission Point Score (APS), so it is important to ensure that your results meet the required APS for your chosen programme.
How to Apply

TUT Online Application Process for 2027
- To apply for admission, please visit www.tut.ac.za
- Please provide your South African ID number OR Passport number to log in.
- Fill in the required information on the online application form. An asterisk (*) denotes the REQUIRED/COMPULSORY Field. Any of these will invalidate your application.
- Upload all supporting documentation: Continue to upload the required files. These documents must be scanned and uploaded individually. The scanned files should not exceed 5MB or 572KB in size. Tiff, pdf, jpg, or gif file formats are required.
- Pay the application fee
- Submit the fully completed online application
- Following the processing of the application, the applicant will be assigned a unique reference number (his/her student number) for identification purposes.
