Prospective students who are financially challenged and unable to cover their expenses can apply for financial assistance through the National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS). Prospective applicants who are South African citizens are eligible for Nsfas funding. Other eligibility requirements, however, must be met before the scheme can approve funding for a student. Some qualifications require applicants to submit additional information as part of their application as outlined on the official website.

Contact the Admissions Office for an application form or download one from the university’s website to apply manually or on paper. You must only submit one application. For the manual application process please ensure that you:

Complete the form in full and answer all questions with black ink
Write your names the same as they appear on your identity/passport document.
Specify the names of the first-choice and second-choice degrees (if applicable)
Complete the residence section (if applicable).
Pay the non-refundable application fee of R200.00 and send proof of payment. Use the system’s reference number/student number when making payments.
