Are University of Cape Town Open for 2024-2025 Applications
The online application for the academic year 2024-2025 at the University of Cape Town is now open, and those interested in studying undergrad or postgrad can begin their applications. In light of the University of Cape Town application deadline, you can now access all information about the University of Cape Town’s 2024 admissions on this blog.
Take your time reading this article before applying. The University of Cape Town Undergraduate courses will be closed on July 31, 2023, while postgraduate courses will be open until November 30, 2023.
Prospective students who are financially challenged and unable to cover their expenses can apply for financial assistance through the National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS). Prospective applicants who are South African citizens are eligible for Nsfas funding. Other eligibility requirements, however, must be met before the scheme can approve funding for a student. Opening date for UCT Online applications for 2024-2025
The University of Cape Town will open its online application form for the academic year 2024-2025 on April 01, 2023. Except for the few exceptions listed on the official website, all applications, including supporting documents, must be submitted online, by mail, or in person.

Basic admission requirements for UCT study
National Senior Certificate (NSC) applicants must, for admission to the higher certificate, diploma or degree programmes have met the NSC requirements for such endorsement.
Applicants with non-South African secondary school leaving certificates must have met the requirements for matriculation exemption.
All applicants, in the final secondary school, leaving assessment must have achieved the minimum criteria for admission to the programme/s of their choice. These include:
- the required APS, FPS or WPS as it may apply to the programme of choice
- performance for required secondary school subjects
- performances in the applicable components of the NBTs
- any other requirements, as outlined in the faculty sections, that may be applicable to specific programmes.

The University of Cape Town Online Application Process for 2024-2025
Please follow the instructions listed below to apply for a course at the University of Cape Town:
Step 1: Log in to the application portal
- Go to the UCT application website: http://www.students.uct.ac.za/
- Click on the Apply online to UCT Button to commence your online application
Step 2: Select and choose your field of study
- Select a qualification and any additional criteria.
- Choose your Course after examining the specific course requirements.
- This stage is very key to gaining admission into this University
Step 3: Complete the online form
- Gather your paperwork or upload any missing or incomplete documents.
- Download an application form (manual applications only)
- Fill out your application completely (manual and online)
Step 4: Pay the Necessary application fee
- The application cost must be paid (where applicable).

Step 5: Upload all the supporting documents and Submit them for Review
- submit your completed form as well as any supporting papers (manual and Online Applications).
- Review to ensure the right thing is done before clicking on the Button or sending the hardcopy either by mail or hand delivery
- You will receive an email acknowledging your submission and outlining the next steps.
