The Vaal University of Technology’s application form for the 2025-2026 academic year is now available, opening applications on May 6, 2024. This guide will explain the application process, admission requirements, and application closing date available to students. South African citizens applying for the first semester or year have an application deadline of September 30th, while those applying for residence halls have a deadline of October 31st.

- Some qualifications require applicants to submit additional information as part of their application as outlined on the official website

Basic Admission Requirements for VUT study
National Senior Certificate (NSC) applicants must, for admission to the higher certificate, diploma or degree programmes have met the NSC requirements for such endorsement.
Applicants with non-South African secondary school leaving certificates must have met the requirements for matriculation exemption.
All applicants, in the final secondary school, leaving assessment must have achieved the minimum criteria for admission to the programme/s of their choice.

Here’s what you need to know about the application fee and payment options for Vaal University of Technology (VUT):
- Application Fee: R100 (South African Applicants Only)
- Submission: Include proof of payment with your application.

How to Apply to VUT
Please follow the instructions listed below to apply for a course at the Vaal University of Technology:
- Visit the official website at https://ienablerprod.vut.ac.za/pls/prodi41/w99pkg.mi_login
- Click on the ‘New Applicant” option if you are new
- Check the Yes/No box to indicate whether you have the student number.
- Check the Yes/No box to indicate whether you are returning to finish an unfinished application.
- Read the clause that pops up after the step above
- Check the box ” I Accept”. to proceed
- Fill out your biographical information, contact information, address, and nationality. (Please enter your biographical information in ALL CAPS.)
- To proceed to the next page, click the Next button.
- You will then receive an email with your Student Number and a temporary pin. You can choose to change or keep the pin.
- Sign in now with your student ID and PIN (FIVE DIGITS).
- Choose your course after reviewing the individual course prerequisites. Before applying, download the university prospectus and review the course requirements. The decision will be based on these criteria. Please reconsider your selection if it does not meet the requirements.
- Pay the application fee and upload proof of payment to the portal during the online submission.
- Continue to upload the required files. These documents must be scanned and uploaded individually. The scanned files should not be more than 5MB or 512KB in size. Tiff, pdf, jpg, or gif file formats are required.
- Remember to save each page before moving on to the next. You will lose your data if you do not save it before proceeding.
- Please ensure that you submit your application by clicking the Submit Application button once you have finished it.
