The Central University of Technology is now accepting applications for the 2026 academic year from all prospective undergraduate and graduate students. The application period runs from April 1, 2025, to September 30, 2025. Applicants with an Admission Score Point (APS) of 27 are encouraged to apply early, as spaces are limited. Submit your application online via www.cut.ac.za before the closing date.
CUT offers a diverse range of qualifications across four faculties: the Faculty of Engineering, Built Environment and Information Technology, Faculty of Health and Environmental Sciences, Faculty of Management Sciences, and Faculty of Humanities.
How to Apply for Admission at CUT
- Go to cut.ac.za, to start with your applications
- Click on the Apply Online tab
- Select “New Applications” and read the instructions.
- Fill in all required fields
- Enter your details exactly as they appear on your ID or Passport.
- Provide accurate contact details and check for correctness.
- Enter your latest academic results (Grade 12, Grade 11, etc.).
- Add details of your school or institution attended.
- Enter any qualifications you hold.
- Choose your first and second program choices.
- Review all information and make corrections if needed.
- Download a copy of your application for records.
- Click “Continue” and upload the required documents to complete your application

How to Reapply at CUT
The Central University of Technology welcomes both new and returning students. If your previous application was unsuccessful, you must submit a new application. This reapplication will update your existing record in the system with your latest information. If you are unable to edit a particular field, you will need to attach the appropriate document to verify the information
