If you have been accepted to study at Coastal Tvet College for the academic year 2023-2024, you must come to campus to complete the application process by registering for your semester courses. This post is for all new and returning Coastal tvet college students who need help with course registration and other paperwork. The coastal Tvet college will begin accepting registration in January 2023-2024, and all registrants are expected to enrol and complete all necessary paperwork to be officially recognized as a student of the college.

Once you have been accepted to study NCV, NATED, learnership, or occupational courses, you must officially register by completing a simple step. Before they can begin working on their application, registrants must pay a registration fee. Registration at Coastal Tvet College costs R2000 and is non-refundable. This is the initial deposit; the remainder of the fee must be paid before the semester’s final examinations for this academic year.

Coastal Tvet College Registration Dates

The online registration of Coastal Tvet college is open from July 01 2023 all the way to September 2023. You must meet the deadline or forfeit your academic slot to another applicant.

National Certificate Vocational (NCV)

The National Certificate (Vocational) is offered at levels 2, 3 and 4 of the National Qualifications Framework (NQF)

  • Application Entry requirement: Grade 9 or higher.
  • Registration Date: January Only

Nated Programmes (Report-191)

NATED programmes are delivered under the auspices of the Department of Higher Education and Training and quality assured by Umalusi. These programmes are offered in both Engineering and Business Studies. Engineering is offered as trimester courses (3 months per level) and Business Studies as semester courses (6 months per level).

NATED Engineering Courses:

  • Engineering Studies Application Entry requirement: N3 or Grade 12 with Maths, Physical Science or Technical Drawing, each with a minimum pass rate of 40% (Achievement Level 3)
  • Registration Date: January 2024, May 2024 & August 2024.

NATED Business Courses

  • The business Studies Entry requirement is N3 or Grade 12.
  • The Registration is done in January &June 2024.

Admission Requirements For New Enrolments-

NCV

Students who endeavour to enrol for NCV Level 2 Business and General Studies programs must have completed and passed Grades 10-11; and  Grade 12 with  Mathematics for the  Information  & Technology as well as Finance, Economics & Accounting programs.

Students who endeavour to enrol for NCV Level 2- all Engineering Studies must have completed and passed a minimum of Grade 10-11Mathematics (not Mathematical Literacy).

Students who endeavour to enrol for NCV Level 2 Electrical Construction – may, on applying for employment, be required to pass a Colour competency test.

NATED

Students who endeavour to enrol for Report 191 Business Studies – N4-NS must have passed either NCV Level 4 (21 subjects – from  L2-L4); or have obtained a National  Senior  Certificate  (Matric). Previous subject studies and direction will influence course enrolment.

In addition – for the Management Assistant N4 program, students must have passed Grade 12 Typing or Compu-typing. If this criterion is not met, students must enrol for the Introductory Business Studies N4 program for the first Semester and in the second Semester, may proceed to the N4 program if he/she successfully passed the introductory program.

In addition -for the Financial Management N4 program, students must have passed Grade 12 Accounting. If this criterion is not met, students must enroll for the  Introductory Business Studies N4 program for the first  Semester and do the Introductory Accounting  N4 and in the second Semester, may proceed to the N4  program if he/she successfully passed the introductory program.

How to Successfully Register at Coastal Tvet College

Returning Students

  • Step one: All returning students should collect their examination results at their campuses in January.
  • Step 2: All qualifying students undergo the NSFAS application process.
  • Step 3:  All students who meet the progression criteria will register at their respective levels.

The registration will take place as seen below starting in January. The registration centres will be open daily from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Students must arrive as soon as possible.
