Applications are now open for the 2027 academic year at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT). The institution offers a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes for students who wish to further their studies.

Eligibility Criteria
Diploma Programmes
Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:
- National Senior Certificate (NSC) / Matric
- Diploma pass
- APS score: typically 25–30+ (varies by programme)
- English: Level 4 (50%) or higher
- Some programmes require Mathematics or Mathematical Literacy
Bachelor’s Degree Programmes
Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:
- National Senior Certificate (NSC) / Matric
- Bachelor’s pass
- APS score: typically 30–38+ (varies by programme)
- English: Level 4–5 (50–60%)
- Mathematics is required for many programmes, especially in Science and Engineering
Postgraduate Programmes
- Master’s Degree: Relevant Bachelor’s or Honours degree
- Doctorate (PhD): Relevant Master’s degree
- Additional faculty-specific requirements may apply

Required Documents by Application Type
- Current Grade 12 (SA Citizen): Final Grade 11/NCV results and Identity Document.
- Minor Applicants (under 18 years): Final Grade 11/NCV results and Minor Application Declaration.
- Upgrading Grade 12 Results: Certified letter confirming registration for upgrading.
- International Grade 12 Applicants: Proof of English proficiency, English translation of Grade 11/12 results, ID/Passport, and SAQA Evaluation Certificate.
- Transferring Students: Academic record and Certificate of Conduct.
- Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL): Academic record, ID/Passport, and RPL email correspondence.
