CPUT 2026 Applications Now Open

The application period for the Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT) for the 2026 academic intake will begin on May 13, 2025. Applications for undergraduate qualifications, including diplomas, higher certificates, and bachelor’s degrees, will remain open until October 31, 2025. However, postgraduate applications will close on March 14, 2026.

South African Citizens: Individuals who are South African citizens and meet the general entry requirements for their chosen course of study.
International Students: Individuals who are not South African citizens, but meet the admission requirements for international students, including proof of English proficiency, qualifications, and visa requirements.
Applicants with Matriculation: People who have completed their National Senior Certificate (NSC) or equivalent qualification (e.g., IGCSE, O/A Levels, or other recognized foreign qualifications).
Applicants with a Higher Certificate or Diploma: Those who have previously completed a higher certificate or diploma and want to pursue a degree or further their studies.
Mature Students: Applicants who are over the age of 23 and do not meet the standard academic requirements may still be considered for admission based on their work experience and an assessment of their readiness for university-level study.
Transfer Students: Applicants who are currently enrolled at another university or institution and wish to transfer to CPUT.
