CPUT Late Applications 2025/2026 – Cape Peninsula Late Forms

Thank you for being so interested in Cape Peninsula University of Technology’s open spaces for the 2025 academic year. Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT) is currently accepting late applications for the 2025 school year. Late applications for admission for the 2025 academic year will begin on Monday, November 4, 2024, and close on November 16, 2024, unless a course becomes full.

Candidates have a limited amount of time to complete and submit the application. Please note that you can save the application and come back to it at any time to finish it throughout the application period. Payment information for the non-refundable application fee is required when submitting a late application for the CPUT 2025.

Students who want to study at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT) as undergraduate, master’s, or doctoral students should take advantage of this opportunity and apply as soon as possible while the portal is still open for the 2025-2026 academic year.

CPUT 2025 Late Applications Dates and Closing Dates

2025 Applications for programs with open places for late admissions are accepted from Monday, November 04, 2024, until Friday, November 16, 2024, at Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT). The deadline for full research master’s and doctorate studies is March 15, 2025.

• CPUT Late Applications Open – Monday, 04 November 2024
• CPUT Late Applications Close – Friday, November 16, 2024

Who Can Apply For CPUT Late Applications 2025

The following applicants can only apply for programs that have spaces available for 2025 through the current open call for late applications.

• Applicants who exhausted only 1 or 2 options out of the maximum of 3 choices for applications submitted during the normal application timelines.
• Applicants who did not apply during the normal application timelines (maximum of 3 choices)
• Regretfully, no 4th choices following the Dean’s Discretionary process will be considered.
• Students transferring from other universities.
• CPUT students who have taken a gap in their studies.
• Phasing out programmes (where applicable)

Please note

• No late applications for the Faculty of Education
• The following programmes are still open for applications regardless of the late application timeframe (also included in the list provided below):
  • Full Research Masters and Doctoral programmes – closes 15 March 2025

How to apply for  CPUT late applications For 2025-2026

• Online applications – Free of Charge
• All applications must be submitted online

Only the following categories are allowed to follow the manual application process:

• A Few non-degree programmes identified (if any)
• Dean’s Discretionary – 4th Choice (where applicable)

CPUT 2025 Late Application Fee

The Cape Peninsula University of Technology will consider late applications. Fees submitted within the application period will be considered. Application payments received after the late admission deadline will not be considered.

Cape Peninsula University of Technology will require late applications for the 2025 academic year to include a late application fee. Cape Peninsula University of Technology charges a late fee of R150.00 for the academic year 2025.

At Cape Peninsula University of Technology, late admission spaces are limited to the quota assigned to each program. Therefore, the acceptance of an offer does not immediately guarantee enrollment.

How to Submit your application for late admissions at CPUT

There are two categories of applications for a late submission. See them below

TYPE A:

• You have not submitted any 2024 application choices to CPUT during the normal application timeline and therefore submitting a 2024 application for the first time to CPUT (maximum of 3 choices)
• You have submitted 2024 applications before and have only submitted 1 or 2 out of the maximum of 3 choices?
• Only online application submissions will be accepted. Regretfully no manual applications for this category will be processed
• Please follow the step-by-step CATEGORY A online application process below

• You can apply from the comfort of your own home, or wherever you have Internet access.
• You can use a smartphone, tablet or computer to apply online. Please use Internet Explorer as your Internet search engine. No other browsers are certified for online applications at CPUT.
• Specifications for your computer: Internet Explorer 7 or higher, with Adobe Acrobat Reader 7 or higher. No other browsers are certified for online applications at CPUT.

• Consult the 2025 Prospectus to ensure that you meet the minimum admission and subject requirements for your programme of choice.

TYPE B: 4th choice only – Dean’s Discretionary (where applicable)

• You have already submitted a maximum of three (3) 2023 application choices but do meet the entrance requirements for programmes identified with available spaces
• Download and complete the electronic application form from the CPUT website: https://wwww.cput.ac.za/study/apply/step-3-get-an-application-form/
• Scan the completed application form together with any additional supporting documentation and submit it to the respective Faculty staff as identified below (Hand deliver to the Faculty of Engineering and Built Environment):
• PLEASE NOTE THIS IS ONLY FOR 4th CHOICE SUBMISSIONS (CATEGORY B – Dean’s Discretionary) AND NOT FOR CHOICES 1, 2 AND 3 SUBMISSIONS and only to programmes identified with available spaces
