Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT) is accepting late applications for a range of undergraduate programs, including diplomas, higher certificates, postgraduate diplomas, and bachelor’s degrees, until the late intake is full. For Master’s and Doctoral programs, late applications are also being accepted. Due to limited course availability, early submission of applications is strongly encouraged.

When can I apply for CPUT late for 2025?
- Late applications for 2025 are now accessible from November 2024 for programs with available spaces
- Applications for undergraduate courses are open from November 1, 2024, until the intake is full.
- Postgraduate Courses: Applications for Masters and Doctoral studies close on March 14, 2025.
What are the application fees for 2025?
- The non-refundable application fee is R150. Proof of payment must be uploaded with the application.
How do I apply to CPUT for Late 2025?
- Visit the official CPUT application portal.
- Go to the CPUT 2025 application portal and click on “Apply Now.”
- Choose “No existing student number” and accept the POPI Act to proceed with the form.
- Provide your details and select up to three study courses.
- Attach the required documents
- Submit your application and you will an acknowledgement email.
- Track your application status through the online portal.
What documents are required for the CPUT late application?
- Certified copy of your ID (first page).
- Academic certificate (Grade 12).
- Proof of payment of the R150 application fee.
- A valid study visa and medical insurance for the duration of your studies (Foreign students).
Can I apply for multiple courses?
- Applicants can apply for three study courses using the same form. You could pick between the same or different faculties
How do I know if my application has been received?
- Once you submit your application, you will receive a confirmation email or SMS acknowledging receipt.
- You can also check the status of your application through the online portal.
What is the closing date for CPUT applications for 2025?
- For undergraduate courses, late applications will be accepted until the intake is full.
- For Master’s and Doctoral programs, applications close on March 14, 2025.
How do I pay the R150 application fee?
- You must pay the application cost online or by bank transfer during the application procedure. If you are paying by bank transfer, upload the pay-in slip during the online application process.
Do I need to submit original documents?
- No; only certified copies of your documents are necessary.
- Please do not provide original documents.
Can I apply for accommodation at CPUT?
- Accommodation applications are usually handled separately. Go to the CPUT Accommodation page for more details once you’ve been accepted.
Can I apply after the closing date?
- Only undergraduate students are currently eligible to apply for late admission. You are strongly encouraged to apply as soon as possible because there are only a limited number of available courses.
What if I am an international student?
- International students must present their passport, a valid study visa, and proof of health insurance for the duration of their studies, in addition to completing an application and paying the processing fee.
What if I make a mistake on my application?
- Verify that everything you entered is correct before clicking the submit button. Once submitted, information cannot be changed.
Can I track my application status?
Yes, You can check the status of your application by:
- Checking your application verification email
- Visiting http://www.cput.ac.za/study/track
- Receiving an automated SMS to the cell phone number you provided during your application
When will I hear back about my late application?
- Successful late applicants will receive an offer letter after the application review process.
What if I missed the application deadline?
- If you missed the deadline for the 2025 late admission, you must wait until the following application season.
