The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) is inviting applications for students unable to afford diploma or undergraduate degree courses at approved universities or Tvet College for the 2025 academic year.
The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) is accepting applications for loans and bursaries for the 2025-2026 academic year. Applicants, parents, and guardians can apply online starting September 17, 2024. The scheme aims to support students into various undergraduate programs for the 2025-2026 academic year.
The management of NSFAS will release an online application form on September 17, 2024, and all university NSFAS applications will close on January 31, 2024

You must be a South African citizen or permanent resident to apply. The combined gross household income should not be more than R350 000 per year. The combined gross household income of disabled people should not exceed R600,000 per year. SASSA recipients are automatically eligible for financial assistance. An email address and a cell phone number are required. Students who began their studies prior to 2018 have a combined household income of no more than R122 000 per year.
