NMU January 2027 Undergraduate Admissions Now Open

Applications are now open for all undergraduate programmes at Nelson Mandela University for the January 2027 academic intake. Prospective students with National Senior Certificate (NSC) results are invited to visit the official online portal to complete and submit their applications.

When to Apply for Undergraduate Studies

Nelson Mandela University’s 2027 application cycle officially opens on 1 April 2026. If you plan to begin your undergraduate studies at NMU, you should submit your application as soon as the application period opens.

Undergraduate Application Deadlines – 2027 Intake

All undergraduate applicants must ensure that their application documents are submitted by the following deadlines:

30 June 2026 – Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB), Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharm), and Bachelor of Radiography (Diagnostic).
03 August 2026 – Early application deadline for all other programmes.
30 September 2026 – Late application deadline for qualifications with available space.

Nelson Mandela University 2027 Application Fee

Applications to study at Nelson Mandela University for the 2027 academic calendar are free for applicants with a South African ID. However, international students are required to pay a non-refundable application fee.

Click on 2027 Online Applications.
Log in using your South African ID number or passport number (for international applicants).
Complete your personal information as required.
Enter your secondary school educational background and results.
Select your preferred undergraduate programme and campus.
Upload all required certified supporting documents.
Pay the application fee (international applicants only).
Submit your application before the official closing date.
