NWU Admission Requirements For 2026 Intake
To be eligible for admission to NWU in 2026, you must have obtained a National Senior Certificate (NSC) or an International Secondary Certificate (ISC) issued by Umalusi, confirming eligibility for a bachelor’s degree. The following requirements must also be met:
- A minimum of 50% in at least four NSC 20-credit subjects.
- A satisfactory APS score.
- At least 50% in the language of learning and teaching.

NWU Accommodation Applications 2026
North-West University provides campus housing and residence facilities to new students upon successful course registration. Applications must be submitted online and not directly at the residences.
- The closing date for all applications is 31 August 2025. Late applications will not be accepted due to limited space.
- NSFAS students must have a provisional or firm acceptance before being admitted into a residence.
- Bursary students must provide proof of their bursary upon registration.
- To apply for residence, you can either indicate your accommodation preference on the application form or follow these separate steps to apply for NWU campus accommodation:
