North-West University (NWU) Opens 2027 Application Cycle
Congratulations on completing your NSC or Grade 12 examinations! If you are interested in continuing your studies at North-West University (NWU) in 2027, you are invited to apply now, as the application portal is officially open.
NWU offers a wide range of programmes across certificate, diploma, bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees in various faculties. For the 2027 application cycle, applicants are required to select and apply for two study programmes.

Cost of applications
International applicants must pay the non-refundable application fee of R600.00 before submission. Domestic students on the other hand can apply for free
How to Apply Online at NWU for 2027
Follow the steps outlined below to apply:
- Go to www.nwu.ac.za
- Click on “Apply Online”.
- Choose “New Application”.
- Ensure you understand all the instructions.
- Fill in the required details to create your student number.
- Use your student number and PIN to log in.
- Fill in all fields accurately and do not leave any mandatory sections blank.
- Submit all required documents in the specified format, uploading them one at a time.
- The “Submit Your Application” button will be highlighted once all steps are completed. Click it to finalize your application.
- An acknowledgment message will be sent to you
- Monitor your application status anytime via your dashboard.
