Applications for the National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) can be submitted manually or electronically. Please go to www.nsfas.org.za/apply-online-2024.
Locate the Create myNSFAS Account tab to get started.
complete the section to create an NSFAS account
Create a password for yourself
Once you are done creating the account, click the APPLY option.
You must update your Nsfas account details before continuing with the rest of the application.
Complete all required fields by answering all the questions
Upload all necessary and relevant supporting documentation.
Click the submit button to send your Nsfas online application for the 2024–2025 academic year.

Steps to download the National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) application form:

Visit the official website of NSFAS at https://www.nsfas.org.za.
Find the “Downloads” or “Application Forms” section at the bottom of the home page.
Locate the application form for download.
Click on the download link to save the form to your device.
If prompted, choose a location to save the file.
Once the download is complete, the application form will be available on your device.

NSFAS Application Form Requirements 2024

Attach the following documents to your fully completed application form and submit them together before the closing date

Copy of student ID/Birth certificate
Copy of parent/s or guardian/ spouse ID
Smart card (Front and back)
Proof of income (where applicable)
Academic Transcript
Persons living with disability (Disability Annexure A form)
An applicant who is recognized as a vulnerable child by the Department of Social Development must provide a completed Vulnerable Child Declaration form completed by a social worker
An applicant who has indicated that s/he has no family member details and or abridged birth certificate must complete the Declaration form.
