What You’ll Need to Apply For NSFAS Funding-2025

During the application process for National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) online, you must submit the following documents. Please keep in mind that your application forms will not be processed unless you provide these documents.

A photocopy of your South African identification document or card
To replace ID documents, a student under the age of 18 must have a birth certificate.

If your parents have died, please provide a death certificate.

PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING

All of your documents must be certified at your local police station.
The certification period cannot exceed 90 days.
To attend a public university or TVET college, students must be enrolled.
You will need your personal phone and a phone number

How to Apply for NSFAS Online for 2025-2026

To apply for National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) online, go through the following steps.

Go to www.nsfas.org.za
Select the myNSFAS option.
Select the Register tab.

Please enter your email address.
Enter your phone number here.
Make a strong password.
Enter your password again to confirm it.

Press the register button.
Enter the ONE TIME PIN (OTP) that was sent to you, click submit, and then log out.
