Prospective applicants are reminded that the online application form for the academic year 2024-2025 at North-West University NWU is now open, beginning on April 01, 2023, and that all those interested in studying at the university should log into the application portal to complete the online form or download it and complete it manually.
The online application portal for North-West University NWU is open on April 01, 2023, and will remain open until August 31, 2023. Choose a course that corresponds to your grade and apply for it as soon as possible. If you are unsure about the grade, download the prospectus and learn about the prerequisites before enrolling in the course.

NWU Online Application Login Now Open For 2024
To access the application form of North-West University NWU, prospective applicants must log into the application portal using their login information. A smart device and a browser are required to access the portal for online applications. Internet Explorer (IE) version 7 or 8 or higher browsers are recommended for online applications for North-West University NWU. Most browsers are incompatible with the online application portal, and using them may cause the process to fail or delay.
North-West University NWU will accept applications beginning April 01, 2023. You can use a smartphone to complete the online application form because the online application portal is mobile phone friendly. A prospective student who wishes to study at North-West University NWU must use the online application system. All supporting documents, as well as the application fee, must be submitted online. You must only submit one application with two study courses selected.

- Go to create a new student number. Complete the boxes and enter a new student number.

Upload all the supporting documents
- Upload any necessary supporting documents in the appropriate format.
- Upload them one after the other
Pay the Necessary application fee
The application is free for South African Applicants and R550 for international students. This must be paid before you can submit the online application.
Submit them for Review
- Application submission is made by clicking the submit button
- Hit the submit button after completing the online form.
North-West University NWU Required documents For Online Applications
The following documents must be ready at the time of application and submission:
- Grade 12 results, grade 11 results (final results only) or a copy of your matric certificate – if you have already passed matric.
- Applicants who are currently upgrading their grade 12 results, will only be considered after the improved results are presented to the NWU.
- Applicants who follow Cambridge, GED or any other non-NSC curriculum, or who may qualify for exemption based on advanced age or post-school qualifications, must provide an exemption certificate as issued by USAF.

Proof of NWU Payment of Application Fee
You must pay a non-refundable application fee of R550.00. Use your student/ID number as a reference when making a payment. This applies to all international or foreign prospective students and applicants to North West University.
