Study with UL: University of Limpopo 2027 Applications Now Open
The University of Limpopo has officially opened its 2027 online applications, inviting prospective students from South Africa and across the globe to apply for a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
Applications opened on April 1st, 2026, and early submission is strongly encouraged due to limited space in many programmes.
Admission Requirements
Undergraduate Applicants
To qualify for a bachelor’s degree, you must have:
- A National Senior Certificate (NSC) or
- A National Vocational Certificate (NVC) with degree endorsement
- Or an equivalent recognised qualification
Important: Meeting minimum requirements does not guarantee admission, as programmes have limited capacity.
Be sure to consult the 2027 Undergraduate Prospectus before applying.
Postgraduate Applicants
- Must meet specific programme requirements
- Submit complete academic records
- International students must include certification from South African Qualifications Authority

Requirements for International Students
International applicants must provide:
- Certified copy of passport or valid permit
- Valid study visa for UL
- Evaluation certificate from:
- Universities South Africa (undergraduate)
- South African Qualifications Authority (postgraduate)
- Certificate of exemption (if applicable via USAf)

- Select first and second study choices
- Complete all sections, including:
- Accommodation (if needed)
- Financial aid
- Upload all required documents in PDF format

- Parent/guardian ID (if under 18)
Academic Documents:
- Final Grade 12 certificate (if completed)
- Grade 11 results (if currently in Grade 12)
