DOCUMENTS NEEDED TO APPLY TO TUT FOR 2026
Make sure the following documents are ready and certified (not older than 3 months):
For First-time Applicants (Undergraduate):
- Certified copy of ID (or passport for international students)
- Certified copy of Grade 11 final results (if currently in matric)
- Certified copy of NSC/Matric certificate (if completed matric)
- Academic record (if applicable)
- Proof of residence
- Proof of payment of the application fee
- Passport & study visa (international applicants)
For Postgraduate Applicants:
- Certified ID
- Certified qualification certificates (Diploma, Degree, etc.)
- Full academic transcripts
- Certificate of conduct (if coming from another institution)
- Curriculum Vitae (if required by the programme)
- Proof of payment of application fee
TUT APPLICATION FEE FOR 2026
Application fees remain the same. You will be required to pay a non-refundable fee of R240 as a processing or administrative fee. Details on how to pay the fee are discussed here.
HOW TO APPLY FOR TUT 2026
All late applications must be completed online via the TUT admissions portal by following the steps below:
- Go to www.tut.ac.za online
- Browse through the available courses and confirm that your preferred programme still has space.
- Click on “Apply Now.”
- Enter your ID number to log in.
- Complete your personal profile.
- Fill in your educational background
- Select your preferred programme and campus.
- Upload all certified supporting documents.
- Pay the application fee.
- Submit your application before the closing date.
- Check your email regularly for updates and feedback from TUT.
N.B.: Tshwane University of Technology does not accept applications submitted by mail, fax, email, or in person. All applications must be submitted online through the official admissions portal. Please note that TUT can only accommodate a limited number of students each academic year. Therefore, meeting the minimum entry requirements does not guarantee admission, as it is subject to the availability of space.
