TUT Closing Date For Application 2025-2026

Applications are being accepted by Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) for the 2025–2026 academic year. Applications for 2025 are still accepted at TUT. There is still time to apply online at TUT for the available courses. All undergraduate and postgraduate courses will finally close on September 30, 2024.

The Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) offers two application methods: online and paper-based. While the application form in PDF format will be available online from Monday, April 4, 2024, applicants can choose their preferred method and submit their application accordingly. It’s important to note that applying both online and paper methods is not permitted.

Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) Application Dates for January 2025 Intake

The online application form for the January 2025 intake at TUT will be available on the university’s website starting Monday, March 4, 2024. This includes both the online form and a downloadable PDF version.

Application Deadline:

  • South African Applicants: September 30, 2024
  • International Applicants: September 30, 2024

General Application Period:

  • March 4, 2024 – September 30, 2024

Please note: While the application period is open until September 30, 2024, some programs may have earlier deadlines.

2025-2026 TUT Application Fee Information

Important Note: The application fee is non-refundable.

Application Fee: R240 (for both South African and Non-South African citizens)

When to Pay: The application fee must be paid within the application dates.

How to Pay:

  • Bank Deposit: You can deposit the fee using TUT’s banking details. Visit the official TUT website for details about the bank account.
  • Postal Payment: Information about postal payments can be found on the TUT website.
  • Credit Card Payment: TUT also accepts credit card payments. Visit the website for more information.

What to Submit:

  • Include a copy of your payment proof with your application form.
  • Keep the original payment proof for your records.

Required documents for both online and manual applications

The following documents must be ready at the time of application and submission:

International Applicants

  • Passport, and identification pages
  • Transcript, or latest academic result
  • Proof of registration at home university
  • Proof of medical insurance
  • Letter of recommendation

Domestic Applicants

  • Recently certified (certification may not be not older than 6 months)
  • Copies of your original identity document
  • National Senior Certificate and highest academic results
  • The proof of application fee.

The Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) Application process for 2025-2026

All new and returning applicants must submit their applications to the Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) by following the application guidelines outlined below.

Step 1: APPLICATION LOGIN

Step 2: LOGIN DETAILS

  • Please provide your South African ID number OR Passport number to log in.

Step 3: COMPLETE THE FORMS

  • Fill in the required information on the online application form. An asterisk (*) denotes the REQUIRED/COMPULSORY Field.
  • Any of these will invalidate your application.

Step 4: UPLOAD REQUIRED DOCUMENTS

  • Upload all supporting documentation: Continue to upload the required files.
  • These documents must be scanned and uploaded individually.
  • The scanned files should not exceed 5MB or 572KB in size. Tiff, pdf, jpg, or gif file formats are required.

Step 5: APPLICATION FEE IS REQUIRED

  • Pay the application fee for the academic year 2024-2025.

Step 6: SUBMIT THE FORMS

  • Submit the fully completed online application form for the academic year 2024/2025.
  • Once your application has been processed, you will be given a school number to use as identification while attending TUT.

TUT Admission Requirements for 2025-2026

The number of slots available for a program has a significant impact on the selection. Meeting the admission requirement, on the other hand, is a critical component of the selection criteria. The best candidates are chosen for the various programs. The following are the requirements for the undergraduate degree and diploma courses.

TUT admission requirements for entry-level programmes adhere to national legislation and therefore the following are required:

  • Bachelor’s degrees: at least four subjects at performance level 4.
  • Diplomas: at least four subjects at performance level 3.
