UFS Undergraduate Applications For 2027 Are Now Open

When Do Applications Open and Close?
Applications for undergraduate studies for the 2027 academic year are currently open.
Closing dates depend on the programme you are applying for:
- Selection programmes (such as Medicine, Health Sciences, and certain Education programmes) have earlier closing dates, some as early as 31 May 2026 or 31 July 2026.
- All non-selection undergraduate programmes close on 30 September 2026.
Because admission is competitive and space is limited, applicants are strongly encouraged to apply as early as possible.
Who Should Apply?
You should apply if you:
- Are completing or have completed the National Senior Certificate (NSC) or an equivalent qualification
- Meet the minimum admission requirements for your chosen programme
- Intend to register as a first-year undergraduate student in 2027

Meeting the minimum requirements does not guarantee admission, as selection is based on merit and availability of space.
