The University of Mpumalanga will open applications for the 2026 academic year on June 1, 2025. This opportunity is available to all prospective students, regardless of nationality, qualification level, or language proficiency.

UMP processes its own applications directly, without the involvement of third parties. When applying, it is essential to meet the specific admission requirements for the program you are interested in, as well as to submit your application before the deadline. 1. Log in to the application portal at www.ump.ac.za
2. Click on “Apply Now.”
3. Click the link to begin your application.
4. Review and accept the terms, then click “continue.”
5. Enter your personal details and click “next” to proceed.
6. Provide your academic information and click “next.”
7. Fill in your school/university details and click “next.”
8. Choose your preferred programs and qualifications, then click “next.”
9. Review your application details and click “continue.”
10. Create a 5-digit PIN, check the “I accept” box twice, and click “Submit Application.”
11. Upload the following documents:
    • Identity document
    • Senior Certificate/National Senior Certificate
    • Proof of application fee payment
    • Other relevant documents.
12. Once all documents are uploaded, click “complete upload.”
13. You’ll be directed to the confirmation page, marking the completion of your application.
14. Proceed to pay the application fee online via credit card or bank account.

The University of Mpumalanga has announced that applications for the 2026 academic year will open on June 1, 2025, and are available to all prospective students, both local and international. Applications must be submitted online by the following deadlines:

• Bachelor of Education in Foundation Phase Teaching: September 30, 2025
• All Other Undergraduate Programs (Honours, Advanced Diplomas, Bachelor’s degrees & Postgraduate Diplomas): November 30, 2025
• Master’s Programs: January 15, 2026
• Doctoral Programs: January 15, 2026
