UL Admission Requirements For 2026 Intake

Prospective students who wish to enrol in any undergraduate programme at the University of Limpopo should meet the following requirements:

  • Life Orientation with an achievement level of at least three (3).
  • Aligned with the language policy of the university, English as a language of learning and teaching with an achievement level of at least three (3).
  • Four 20-credit subjects were achieved with a minimum NSC achievement level of four (4) for degree programmes and
  • Four 20-credit subjects were achieved with a minimum NSC achievement level of three (3) for diploma programmes.
  • The required Admission Point Score (APS) as stipulated in the Calendars of each Faculty.
  • Prospective students will take National Benchmarking Tests at the University of Limpopo

Documents Required for UL 2026 Applications

All prospective students are required by the University of Limpopo to submit the following documents as part of the application process:

  • Your ID (if you are a South African citizen)
  • Proof of English proficiency
  • Final Grade 11 results (with school’s stamp if you’re still in Grade 12)

  • USAF accreditation (for international students, from the examination board)

Follow the guidelines and steps below to apply to the University of Limpopo for admission 2026

  • Select Online Applications.
  • Agree to POPI Act
  • Click the “Next Button” to proceed.
  • List all relatives and payment-responsible parties’ full names.
  • Enter your address and phone number.
  • Select your qualification type (e.g., undergraduate or postgraduate).
  • Enter your last school leaving certificate number and matriculation/Grade 12 year.
  • Fill in all required fields, including personal and academic details.
  • Enter the name of your most recent high school.
  • Choose at least 3 study courses.
  • Upload all supporting documents.

UL Accommodation Applications 2026 

The application system allows students to apply for university accommodation. If you need a place in a university residence, make sure to indicate this on your application. Please be aware that spaces in the university of Limpopo residences are limited, and admission to the university does not guarantee accommodation. Residence placements are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, and the university is not obligated to provide a residence spot.

University of Limpopo Financial Aid

As a first-year student at the University of Limpopo, if you have achieved strong results in your Grade 12 final exams, you may qualify for a merit bursary when pursuing your first degree. For students who do not meet the requirements for the automatic bursary, it is recommended to apply for external bursaries, such as the National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS).
