Diploma

To qualify for a Diploma program at UP, applicants must meet these requirements:

An NCV Level 4 qualification issued by the Council for General and Further Education and Training.
A minimum of 40% in three (3) Fundamental subjects, including the institution’s language of instruction.
At least 50% in three (3) compulsory Vocational subjects.
Compliance with the minimum admission criteria of the university.

Bachelor’s Degree

For admission into a Bachelor’s Degree program at UP, applicants must meet the following criteria:

An NCV Level 4 qualification issued by the Council for General and Further Education and Training.
A minimum of 50% in three (3) Fundamental subjects, including the institution’s language of instruction.
At least 60% in four (4) compulsory Vocational subjects.
Fulfillment of the university’s minimum admission requirements.

To study at the University Of Pretoria, the minimum Admission Point Score (APS) needed is 26 points or higher, depending on the program (Calculate your APS).
