UWC Application Dates For 2026 – Apply Now

University of the Western Cape (UWC) has opened its online application form for the 2026 academic year, open to all students, regardless of their country of origin or language. The application period runs from April 1 to September 30, 2025.

UWC 2026 Application Dates and Timelines

Generally, the University of the Western Cape 2025 application opens from 01 April 2025 to 30 September 2025. However, the following courses will close earlier than 30 September 2025

Bachelor of Dentistry and Oral Health applications close on 31 August 2025.
BA Honours in Sport Recreation and Exercise Science, BA Honours in Biokinetics, and BSc Honours in Biokinetics applications close on 31 July 2025.
Applications for the Department of Psychology close on 10 May 2025.

UWC Application Form For 2026

The UWC Application for 2026 will be available online starting April 1, 2025. For hardcopy applications, applicants can collect the form from the University and submit it at the University or via post. Email or fax applications are not accepted. Undergraduate course applicants can apply for up to two choices.

UWC Application Application Fee Payments

University of the Western Cape does not require any application fee for both South African and non-South African citizens.

UWC Application Deadlines For Required Documentation and Submission

University of the Western Cape (UWC) application is open for submission on April 01, 2025. To ensure a valid application form, all supporting documents, including results, certificates, and ID, must be uploaded by the deadlines, and any outstanding documents must be submitted before the portal closes.

Visit the UWC website at “https://www.uwc.ac.za/apply-now.”
Select “Apply now” to proceed to the application portal.
Read the instructions thoroughly before proceeding.
Select a program and review entry requirements.
Download the UWC prospectus.
The application system will indicate if you meet minimum requirements.
If you don’t meet minimum requirements and are awaiting final results, continue selecting the program.
Complete all necessary information, including application year and qualification.
Log in with your Application Number and Student Number for essential documents.
Click “submit” to submit for review.

Admission Requirements for undergraduate candidates

In order to study at the University of the Western Cape candidates need to meet the following criteria:

The National Senior Certificate (NSC) required for Degree, Diploma or Higher Certificate study, as appropriate
A minimum number of points is calculated on the university’s points system
A pass at the required level in each of the subjects specified for the programme into which the candidate seeks admission
