UWC Re-Admission Online Application For 2026

The University of the Western Cape (UWC) is now accepting re-admission applications for students who deferred their studies and wish to return for the upcoming 2026 academic year.

To apply for re-admission, visit the UWC website to access the online re-admission form, or download a printable version. Complete the form for the upcoming academic year, attach all required documents, and submit the completed application package to the designated address provided on the UWC website.

We recommend submitting your application promptly to ensure timely processing, as late submissions will not be accepted.

When to Re-apply to the University of the Western Cape (UWC)

The University of the Western Cape (UWC) is accepting re-application submissions for the 2026 academic year. The application period opens on April 1, 2025, and the deadline for re-application is September 30, 2025.

If you wish to re-apply, you can download and complete the re-admission form from the UWC website. Students who have either officially terminated their studies or taken a break of one year or longer must apply for re-admission in order to resume their studies.

Criteria for Readmission at the University of the Western Cape (UWC)

The Council, with the approval of the Senate of this university, may determine minimum criteria for students to continue with their studies. Such criteria may differ from faculty to faculty and from academic department to academic department in accordance with the demands of specific programmes.

Unless the Council, with the approval of the Senate, specifically decides otherwise, the approved faculty rules for particular degrees, diplomas or certificates with regard to renewal of registration, shall apply (see the Faculty Calendars or the university website for more information).
