UWC Re-Admission Online Application For 2025-2026
University of the Western Cape (UWC) is accepting applications for re-admission from students who deferred their studies in 2024 and want to return for the 2025-2026 academic year. The application process opens on May 13, 2024, and late applications will not be accepted.
To apply for re-admission, visit the UWC website to access the online re-admission form or download a printable version. Complete the form for the 2025-2026 academic year, attach all supporting documents, and mail the completed application package to the designated address available on the UWC website. We encourage you to apply as soon as possible.
When to Re-apply to the University of the Western Cape (UWC)
The deadline to re-apply to the University of the Western Cape (UWC) for the 2025-2026 academic year is September 30, 2024. The application period opens on Monday, May 13, 2024. If you’re interested in re-applying, you can download and complete the readmission form from the UWC website during that time.
A student who has officially terminated his or her studies or who has taken a one-year or longer break from his or her studies must apply for re-admission.
Criteria for Readmission at the University of the Western Cape (UWC)
The Council, with the approval of the Senate of this university, may determine minimum criteria for students to continue with their studies. Such criteria may differ from faculty to faculty and from academic department to academic department in accordance with the demands of specific programmes.
Unless the Council, with the approval of the Senate, specifically decides otherwise, the approved faculty rules for particular degrees, diplomas or certificates with regard to renewal of registration, shall apply (see the Faculty Calendars or the university website for more information).
How to Apply for Re-admission at the University of the Western Cape
- To apply for readmission to UWC, you must re-enter the application portal at https://student.uwc.ac.za/
- If you are returning to complete or correct your application, click “EDIT APPLICATION”
- Please complete at least the ID / Passport field to continue
- Click on the submit button to proceed to the online application form
- Accept the rules and regulations after carefully reading them.
- Review the information you last provided before you proceed
- Select the qualification from the drop-down menu. You can type your qualification, and the programs associated with that qualification will be displayed on the screen.
- If you have finished selecting your course, save and continue with the application
- Complete every field pertaining to your qualification
- Accept the application in order to submit it.
- There is NO application Fee
