The Vaal University of Technology has officially reopened the application process for returning students for the 2026 academic year. When to Reapply to VUT 2026

Prospective applicants who were not accepted for the 2025 academic intake are now invited to reapply to the Vaal University of Technology for the 2026 academic year. The university is currently accepting applications from all candidates, including those who applied previously. The application deadlines are as follows:

  • Undergraduate Applicants: September 30, 2025
  • Postgraduate Applicants: October 31, 2025

Application Fee for VUT Re-admissions for 2026

Prospective students applying for VUT 2026 readmissions must pay a non-refundable application fee of R110.00. Applications submitted without proof of payment will not be accepted.

Please note that application fees are not refundable under any circumstances and paying the fee does not guarantee admission to VUT.

How to Reapply at Vaal University of Technology

To reapply as a returning student at Vaal University of Technology for the 2026 academic intake, follow these steps:

  • Visit the official website at www.vut.ac.za.
  • Click on “APPLY AT VUT” at the top of the page.
  • Select “Apply Now” and choose the “Returning Student” tab.
  • Enter your student number and PIN to log in.
    • If you’ve forgotten your PIN, click on “Request a PIN,” enter your student number, and check your registered email for the new PIN.
  • Once logged in, complete all required fields in the application form.
  • Upload any outstanding documents as requested.
  • After completing the form, click the “SUBMIT” button to finalize your application.

Go to the Vaal University of Technology website at www.vut.ac.za to download the application form. Fill out the form thoroughly, ensuring all questions are answered in black ink. After completing the form, submit it along with all required supporting documents.

  • Academic record (if previously enrolled at another tertiary institution); and
  • A financial statement from the relevant tertiary institution, issued within the last three months.
