What Documents Do I Need To Apply At CPUT For 2025-2026
CPUT Now Accepting Applications for the 2025-2026 Academic Year! The Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT) is inviting applications for the upcoming academic year, which starts in 2025. Prospective students have until March 2025 to submit their applications, which can be done online or on paper.
Regardless of the application method, all supporting documents must be submitted electronically during the online application process or mailed to any CPUT campus using the address found on the university’s official website. Be sure to check the website for a complete list of required documents to ensure a smooth application process.
We encourage interested students to apply early to secure their spot at CPUT for the 2025-2026 academic year.
Get your documents ready before applying to CPUT (January 2025 intake)
Here’s what you need to do before you start your application to CPUT for the January 2025 intake:
- Gather and verify all required documents. You’ll need to get them certified by a local police station. Make sure the certifications are no more than three months old when you submit your application.
- Meet the application deadline:
- Undergraduate programs: Submit all documents by September 30, 2024.
- Postgraduate programs: Submit all documents by March 15, 2025.
How to Upload CPUT Application Required Documents
- All documents must be certified (except programme-specific requirements e.g. cover letter)
- When uploading documents, ensure that the scanned file does not exceed 2MB and that all documents are scanned in any of the following file types: tiff, pdf, jpg or gif
- Each document must be scanned and uploaded as separate attachments
- Your application will not be processed until all documents have been submitted
- Enter Yes to submit documents and click on the NEXT button
- Click on the Load/ View Document to submit your first document
- Click on the UPLOAD DOCUMENT button
- Select your saved scanned Matric document (document must be saved as .tiff, pdf, .jpg or .gif) from your device
- Click on the SAVE and then the CLOSE button
- Click on the CLOSE button again
- Click on the CLOSE button again
- Select the COMPLETE UPLOAD button to finalize your online application process
CPUT Application Requirements for 2025-2026
Depending on your location, you will be required to submit or upload the documents.
Students from South Africa
- A certified copy of your school-leaving certificate, together with an English translation.
- A scratch card (for students from the West African Examination Council (WAEC) and National Examinations Council (NECO).
- Congo-Brazzaville applicants must submit the Liste des Admis au Bac
- Sixth-year Bulletin: Diplom D’Etat and Journal and transcripts of results or Journal or Confirmation of Results from the Embassy (students from Angola, the Democratic Republic of Congo or Cameroon).
- International/Foreign Post-Basic Nursing applicants need to submit a document indicating approval of nursing qualifications from, and certified by, South African Qualification Authority (SAQA), in order to be provisionally accepted. Full acceptance will only be considered if the applicant also submits proof of temporary registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) for two (2) years, in addition to a valid study permit.

- Refugee/Asylum seeker temporary permit/formal recognition of refugee status in the RSA

Students Outside of South Africa
