WITS 2027 Application Dates – Apply Now at Wits

If you plan to apply to the University of the Witwatersrand (Wits) for the 2027 academic year, timing is crucial due to high competition and limited spaces. When to Apply to Wits 2027

Prospective students wishing to study at Wits University for the 2027 academic year may now submit their applications. Applications are open to all applicants, regardless of nationality or language.

All required application documents must be submitted by the close of business on 30 September 2026, except for a few programmes that have earlier closing dates.

Wits 2027 Application (Online)

All first-time applicants and continuing students are required to visit the official university website to complete an online application form, as this is the only application method approved by the university’s management.

For the 2027 application cycle, the University of the Witwatersrand will not accept manual, faxed, emailed, or postal applications. Applicants are therefore advised to take note of this requirement and ensure that their applications are submitted online only.

Application fee: R100 (SA citizens), R700 (foreign citizens)
Pay through self-service portal: Campus Finances > Make a Payment > Application Fee
Note: All payments must be made within the application deadlines.
