CPUT Application Opening Date For 2026 Intake
The Cape Peninsula University of Technology has officially announced that it will begin accepting applications for the 2026 academic year on May 13, 2025. As a result, CPUT is extending an invitation to all qualified students, irrespective of their nationality, educational background, or language proficiency.
Although the application period opens on the same date for all programs, each course has its own specific deadline. It is crucial to verify that you are submitting your application on time, as late applications will not be accepted.

How to Apply at Cape Peninsula University of Technology Online for Admission in 2026
All CPUT 2026 applications must be submitted online unless otherwise specified on the official website. To apply online, follow the steps below:
- Go to www.cput.ac.za
- Click on the “How to Apply” tab.
- Under step 4, select ONLINE APPLICATIONS.
- Enter your identity number.
- Choose your field of study and program.
- Complete all required fields marked with an asterisk (*).
- Upload your supporting documents. Ensure that they are in the correct format and follow the upload instructions.
- No online application fee is required.
- Click Review to proofread the information.
- Once satisfied, submit your online application.
- Monitor the status of your application online.
- Apply for Residency if applicable.
NOTE:
Your CPUT University online application will only be submitted once you have:
- Fully completed the online application form
- Uploaded all required supporting documents in pdf format as seen below
- Grade 11 final results
- Grade 12 June exam results
- National Senior Certificate or Statement of Results
- Identity Document (ID card) or a valid passport
- An academic record and certificate of conduct
- A valid medical insurance cover
- Police clearance certificate
- Please note that if you haven’t clicked “SUBMIT,” your application will not be submitted
When to Apply to CPUT 2026 (Application Timeline)
The Cape Peninsula University of Technology has officially declared that applications for the 2026 academic year will open on May 13, 2025, and close on March 14, 2026. Below is the breakdown of the CPUT 2026 application closing dates:
- BEd Foundation, Intermediate & Senior Phase, Bachelor in Nursing: July 29, 2025.
- Applications for all other qualifications (Higher Certificate, Higher Diploma, Diploma, Honours, Bachelor’s Degree): September 30, 2025.
- Postgraduate Qualifications (Master’s and Doctoral Degrees): March 14, 2026.
