CPUT Online Application 2024/2025 Closing Date
The Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT) administration has announced the deadlines for all undergraduate, postgraduate, and distance programs for the 2024/2025 academic year. The application deadline was set for the selection panel to begin their work. Your application will not be considered if it is received after the deadline. Applicants are encouraged to submit their applications as soon as possible to avoid disappointment, even though the first come, first served rule does not apply.
Important Application tools and Recommendations for both Manual and online applicants of the Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT) for 2024/2025
Because the deadline may not be extended, applying well and using the right tool will help you get into your desired course. We’ve provided some tools and instructions to help you with your application process.
- A laptop, desktop, tablet, and other smart devices are highly recommended tools.
- An active email and contact number. The outcome of your application will be sent to you either by email or SMS
- Recommended browsers by our experts are google chrome and Mozilla Firefox. The other browsers may not be compatible.
- Scanned copies of the documents: If you are submitting your forms via the application wizard, get the required documents scanned into PDF or TIF and or PFJ.
- To increase your chances of admission, we recommend that you select a program with a less stringent selection process.
When to Apply for Admission in 2024/2025
The admission deadline is set to help applicants submit their applications on time. Because it is a human institution, the various dates are set to regulate the process while also allowing the selection panel to begin their process for 2024 admissions. All submissions, including supporting documents, must be received by the application deadline. If you apply after the deadline, consider your application rejected.

Applicants wishing to study at Unisa must submit the necessary forms by the deadline. Applications received after the official deadline will be considered late and will not be accepted. See the dates below:
BEd Foundation; Intermediate & Senior Phase; Bachelor in Nursing and Extended

Diploma Grade R; Post Graduate Certificate in Education; Advanced Diploma in Teaching & Vocational Teaching

INTERNATIONAL APPLICANTS: Non-SA citizens; SA citizens with International qualifications
- 31 August 2023
South African citizens i.e. refugees, individuals with permanent SA residency status; Undergraduate programmes, including Advanced Diploma programmes NOT closing on 31 August
- 30 September 2023
CPUT Closing dates for application fee payments for 2024/2025 admissions
Application forms that are not accompanied by proof of application fee will be rejected. Your application will be rejected if you pay the fee after the deadline listed above for 2024 admissions
