We are happy to announce that applications to study for career-oriented courses at CPUT (Cape Peninsula University), whether undergraduate or postgraduate, are officially open as of Monday, May 12, 2025.

Prospective students—both domestic and international—are hereby invited to complete and submit official applications to be considered for admission for the 2026 academic intake.

With your smartphone, laptop, or tablet, along with a valid email address, contact number, and all required supporting documents, you can visit the official website to get started. Simply follow the guidelines in this article to complete your application once and for all.

How to Apply: Cape Peninsula University Application Process

Follow these 6 steps to complete and submit your application to Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT) 🎓 to begin your studies next year:

Step 1: Choose a Qualification and Special Requirements

  • Download the prospectus to select a program of interest.
  • Check if you satisfy the minimum admission requirements below:
    • National Senior Certificate (NSC) or equivalent.
    • Required APS (Admission Point Score)
  • Check for special requirements for certain programs:
    • Auditions or portfolios
    • Medical exams.
    • National Benchmark Tests (NBTs).
    • Minor declaration form.

Step 2: Gather Your Documents or Upload Further/Outstanding Documents

All applications must be accompanied by the following documents:

  • Certified copy of your final Grade 12 results or recent academic transcript.
  • Proof of application fee payment (if applicable).

  • Navigation to step 3 of the process to download a PDF version of the application form
  • Ensure you get the correct application form for the program and year.
  • Pay an amount of R100 as a manual application fee and keep the receipt.
  • Read the instructions thoroughly to fill in all relevant sections.
  • Attach all application documents and submit to the campus of CPUT

Step 4: Online Application

Follow the steps below to complete the online application form which is the regular mode of applications at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology:

  • Select Step 4 of the online process to get started
  • Register an account on the CPUT’s online application portal.
  • Complete all sections of the application form:
    • Personal details.
    • Program choices.
    • Educational background.
  • Upload all supporting documents.
