Application Fee Requirement for NMU Admissions 2027

All prospective applicants who are not South African citizens must pay a non-refundable R500 application fee for their applications to be processed. Failure to make this payment will lead to application rejection. The fee must be paid at the time of submission.

Annual Application Requirement

Applicants are required to submit a new application for each academic year they wish to enroll. For instance, if you applied for the 2027 intake but were not accepted, you must reapply for the 2027 intake to be considered

All applications for Nelson Mandela University (NMU) 2027 admissions must be submitted online. Manual applications will not be processed unless specified in the list of 2027 programs on the official NMU website.

Application Limit for NMU Students

Students applying to Nelson Mandela University (NMU) can submit applications for a maximum of three (3) qualifications per academic year. Only the first three choices submitted will be processed. Choose wisely!

What documentation must be submitted online?

No Additional documentation is required to be submitted unless specifically requested by staff from the Faculty in which you applying for:

Grade 11 Year-End Results (if you are still in school), or
Final Grade 12 Results (if you have already completed high school).
Scanned Copy of School Results
Certified Academic Record and Certificate of Conduct – (Transfer student)
Proof of Application Fee Payment (International students).
Certified copy of your identity document
Disability assessment form
